Every two years take place the Ibero-American Design Biennial (BID) in Madrid, Spain. The BID is one of the most important events of contemporary design, bringing together artists from many countries of Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
One of our projects was chosen to participate in the 4th Biennial in 2014!
The visual identity was inspired by the local architecture, reminiscent of an old factory with beams and exposed pipes. Our intention was to get as close as possible to their identity, uniting gastronomy and the architectural context of the building.
Established between 1908 and 1928, the Matadero-Madrid was an ancient slaughterhouse made by a set of 48 buildings. These pavilions are one of the most complex and interesting architecture of the city.
This industrial building became one of the most amazing cultural centers of Europe, with spaces dedicated to a variety of art styles, such as design, dance, cinema and reading. Beyond publishing studies from many countries, it encourages artists to participate and perform cultural activities.
